Athletic Directors Report Spring 2012

                                           Athletic Director’s Report Spring 2012
As the season changes, the time is here to play with your favorite type of ball.  May it be soccer, golf, base, soft, foot, wiffle, tennis, volley, basket, dodge,  lacrosse or that somewhat flatter one known as Frisbee, it will be nice to get out in the fresh air and recreate. Soon, we will be hitting the rivers and trails. Skiers are great outdoors-men.  After all, we are the ultimate outdoor athletes, so let the games begin!!
Many thanks for the great season to all parents, athletes, coaches and supporters of the Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation.  This year was a trying one. We started our ski season at Bogus Basin Jan 21, the latest season on record. Yet, we were able to capture all of our kids for what turned out to be a very complete season.
Thanks goes to Tamarack Resort for the January skiing we were able to enjoy as well as allowing us to host the Cranston Cup.  It was the spark we needed to get the season rolling.

Spring Ski Racing Across the Great Plains

Spring Ski Racing Across the Great Plains

What happens when skiing takes you out of the Intermountain Division? You might go north to Schweitzer.  You might go south to Mammoth.  You might go east to Aspen. Or you might go cross Northern Rockies, skirt down the Missouri River valley, cross over the northern divide in to the Hudson’s Bay valley, back into the Mississippi river valley and finally into the upper reaches of the Ste. Lawrence river valley to a place called Lutsen Minnesota.

Thanks for a great season

Thank you to all of our BBSEF Families.  Today’s ski like a pirate fun day really was a lot of fun!  It is also the last day of Mitey Mites, Development Team, North Series and Team Shred for the 2011-2012 ski season.  It has been a challenging snow year but thanks to the positive attitudes of the parents, athletes and coaches it has been a great season.  Our spring sign up special runs through May 1st.  Registration forms are available on the website or email Shannon.  We hope to see you at the annual banquet on April 21, 2012.
