We are pleased to announce that the results of the March Skills Quest weekend is now posted under the team updates link each of the participating team pages.  This will be the first round of results that will track your progress and improvement thru USSA’s Skills Quest program.  We plan to offer this test each year in December and at the end of the season. As each test is completed, it will be added to this sheet for your viewing.  Skills Quest is a system of basic skiing skills that is presented thru a testing system  that is progressive.   As you get older and acquire better skills the test adjusts as well.  It is a good marker for all as we develop the basic skills for your sking foundation.  It serves both the Free ride and Alpine programs.  We will focus on ages 8 thru 14, these are the core development years.  The intent is to tracking tool for skill development. For more information on Skills Quest please refer to the skills quest link on the team pages.

Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation Annual Meeting and Banquet 

The BBSEF Banquet and Annual meeting will be Sunday, April 28th, at Westys Bowling Center (by the fairgrounds) in Garden City, from 12:30-3:00 pm.   

Schedule of events:

  • 12:30 Annual Meeting
  • 1:00 – 2:30 Bowling & pizza.
  • 2:30 – 3:00: Awards 

The cost is $15.00 for ages 8 & older, children ages 7 and under are $5.00.  This includes: bowling, shoe rental, pizza, salad and soda. 

Below is an RSVP to be returned to the BBSEF office with your payment by Wednesday, April 24th.  This banquet is for all of our BBSEF programs.  We hope to see everyone at the banquet. 

Annual Meeting:  The annual meeting of the Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation will begin at 12:30 pm.  You do not have to attend the banquet/bowling to attend the annual meeting.  There is no charge for coming to the meeting only.  The agenda for the annual meeting will include:  The election of board members and a review of 2012-2013 season. You must be present to vote, proxies will not be accepted.  Results will be announced after the awards.

However, we would like to you to participate in our year end BBQ & Fun Day! The theme this year = 70’s. So dress up and come up for some fun and BBQ. I understand that you may not want to drive up at the crack of dawn so we are going to start at 11am.

11:00 am – Dual course in Claim Jumper (top of Deerpoint Chair #1)
1:00 pm – BBQ at training center
2:00 – 3:00 –Egg Hunt
3:30 – awards for Best Costume

BBSEF will provide the hamburgers, hotdogs and condiments.  BBSEF families bring your own beverages and last names A-C bring Chips, D-S bring salad or side dish and T-Z bring dessert.  You may also want to bring chairs.
