Hello Home Teams,

It was a fun weekend of competition with our first Coaches Cup events of the season. Congratulations to each of the competitors! Thank you to all the volunteers that made these events possible, we could not have them without you! Results for the weekend's events are attached to this message in your email.

This weekend we will start our slalom training to prepare for our next Coaches Cup events on Feb. 4 & 5. We will have a Slalom on Listen to Your Mom, for our Mite Mite/Devo teams and a Slopestyle for our All Mountain and Snowboard teams. We are finishing our group adjustments and updated group lists will be sent and Friday. Please check your athlete’s country before dropping them off at our regular meeting time (9:25 am) this weekend.

Greetings BBSEF Home Teams,

Thanks to all who volunteered last weekend, we completed our first round of Skills Quest. Adjusted Alpine group lists have been emailed to you. All Mtn group lists will be sent in a separate email.

This weekend the teams will practice Giant Slalom on Sleepy Connector as we continue to prepare for the Coaches Cup GS. We will also focus on Hockey Stops.

All Mtn and Snowboard Home teams will be training for next weekend’s Bear Paw Bash (mini–Big Mtn)

Saturday Families Please Note: The school race program begins this Saturday and we expect Bitterroot (chair #5) and the Pioneer Lodge will be very busy. You may want to pack your lunch.

Week cannot have these competitions without your help. Please volunteer for the Giant Slalom and Bear Paw Bash competitions https://signup.com/go/bZBCfJE .

Looking for something to do while skiing with your athlete outside of practice? Ask them to lift one ski and count to 5 before putting it down, repeat with the other ski. Look for the ski to be parallel to the run while they show balance and control. Start on cat tracks and as they progress have them try it between turns on steeper terrain.

Just a reminder key meeting times at the flags are; 9:25 am - start of morning session, 12:00 pm - start of lunch, 12:45 pm - start of the afternoon session and 3:15 pm - end of the day.

Hello BBSEF Home Team Families, Our Mitey Mite, Devo, All Mtn, and Snowboard Devo programs start training this weekend. Attached are group lists for this weekend. Below is the daily schedule. Saturday groups meet on Saturday, Dec 17. Sunday groups meet on Sunday, Dec 18. Start Time- Meet at the flags 9:25 am Meet your group. 9:30 am Groups leave for training Lunch – Meet at the flags 12:00 pm -12:45 pm Training End Meet at the flags 3:15 pm Tips for a Great Day! Give yourself plenty of time to get up the road, especially if it has snowed or is snowing. Please make sure that your child is ready to ski, and double-check that ski passes, skis, poles, boots, helmets, gloves, ski pants, and jackets make it into the car before heading up. Handwarmers on very cold days and on snowy days an extra pair of dry gloves for the afternoon session. Make sure your child gets a good night's sleep and has a nutritious breakfast. Please have your child use the restroom before meeting their groups in the morning and after lunch. Christmas Camp registration will be sent once registration is open. The cost will be $50. per day. You may choose December 28th and/or 29th. The hours will be 9:30-3:15 (regular training hours) with a 45-minute parent-supervised lunch. There is no transportation available and space will be limited. It has been brought to our attention that some members were not receiving our emails. We have worked with SkiClubPro to correct the issue. If you know a BBSEF member who is not receiving our emails, please direct them to WWW.BBSEF.org, where they may follow the instructions to remedy the issue. Please note: 12/23-12/26: BBSEF office is closed. There is no training and there will be no access to Jason Harper Training Center. We will not be checking emails or messages. 12/31-1/1: No Training, BBSEF office is closed. There will be no training and there will be no access to Jason Harper Training Center. Hello BBSEF Home Team Families,

BBSEF Home Teams include Mitey Mite, Devo, All Mtn, Snowboard Devo and Race to Ride.

Please check your email for the link to the virtual parent orientation meeting. We will host our parent orientation meeting and virtual chili feed this Sunday, December 4, at 5:30 pm. Grab a bowl of your favorite chili and join us via Zoom to prepare for a dynamic winter season.

During this Parent Orientation meeting we will discuss:

• Concussion protocol – St. Luke’s Concussion Clinic -Ryan Murkle. 
• What to expect from BBSEF,
• Schedules, training days and event days,
• What we expect from you,
• Communications and website resources

Preliminary group lists will be emailed next week.
