The BBSEF Big Mountain Progression Team is for athletes age classes U12 and older who are passionate about competing in a big mountain focused environment. This program’s primary focus is to create a training and competition atmosphere that is challenging, and relevant to the current and future potential of the athlete. Athletes will work on ski fundamentals and technique, in steeps, trees, moguls, groomers, crud, powder, and race courses as well as tactics and competition planning for upcoming events. Additionally, athletes and coaches will utilize video analysis and use video to build an online presence.

ABILITY
Skiers must be comfortable skiing all of Bogus Basin, including the terrain parks. Athletes must be able to link consistent turns on a variety of terrain and in a variety of snow conditions. 

COMPETITIONS
The BBSEF Big Mountain Progression Team members compete in IFSA Intermountain Regional and National events and must purchase an IFSA competitor license. Competition travel is billed separately for coaching expenses. Back protectors are mandatory for all competitions. Backpacks and avalanche transceivers are mandatory for National competitions. 

CAMPS
Athletes on the Big Mountain Progression Team are automatically included in the Holiday Camp over Christmas and New Year’s and during spring break at Bogus. You are also invited to join the Fall, Spring, and Summer Travel Camps at an additional cost. 

DRYLAND & TRAMPOLINE TRAINING
Summer, Fall, and Winter trampoline programs are also available at an additional cost. 

SEASON PASS
A Bogus Basin Season pass is required and must be purchased directly through Bogus Basin season pass office.  Pass prices are not included in BBSEF Team Fees.

COMPETITION TRAVEL

Travel is arranged by parents or guardians. An additional coaching travel fee will be applied after each event. The Team typically arrives a day early to the competition venue to give the athletes time to inspect and ski the competition venue.
